r.in.sunrast bug

Hiya,

I have a scanned topographic map (TIFF file) that I convert to Sun
raster format (using the xv program). So far so good. Next I run
r.in.sunrast to create a GRASS raster file. The process runs without
warnings or error messages, but when I display the cell file the pixels
have been `skewed': I get to see stripes running from top left to bottom
right. Now the strange thing is that nos of cols and rows are correct,
and it can't be the file size (approx. 5000 x 6000) either, because
some other scans of that size are imported intact.

Anyone familiar with this? Anyone know how to solve/get around this?
Help is sorely needed here...
