[GRASSLIST:3716] Grass 5.0.0pre4 RPMs for Mandrake 8.2

Hi all,

Since I had to get grass running for another student, I decided it would 
be more worthwile, and probably faster, to build RPMs of grass.

Thus, I had put RPMs of pre3 in the Mandrake cooker, and today I have 
just finished updating them to pre4.

Currently there is just one RPM for grass, and it is built with 
PostgreSQL, lapack, gdal support, and nvis. You should only need the 
RPMs in the following directory.

http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/mandrake8.2/grass/

You probably want just the following RPMs to run grass:
grass-5.0.0-0.pre4.1mdk.i586.rpm
libgdal1-1.1.7-1mdk.i586.rpm

To install, download the desired RPMs to an empty directory, and as 
root, run:

# urpmi *.rpm

After installation, you should be able to run  grass5 from the 
command-line, or start it from the menu 
(->Applications-Sciences->Geosciences).

The RPMs are signed with my GPG key, which can be found at 
http://ranger.dnsalias.com/bgmilne.asc (sorry, my Mozilla's enigmail got 
removed on upgrade, so this mail isn't signed ...)

Please note that, due to the fact that I am building on my machine which 
uses the NVidia binary drivers, that there is a false dependency on 
libGLcore.so.1. If you are installing, and that is the only dependency 
that is not resolved, you should add the --nodeps option.

I would appreciate feedback on the RPMS, especially from experienced 
grass users on Mandrake 8.2

I will be putting these into the Mandrake cooker as soon as possible, so 
there should be a working grass in the contribs of the next Mandrake 
release. I hope to split grass into a few subpackages for the next release.
