[GRASS-user] gis.m: file ppm not found

Eric, Agustin, and Martin,

I've tried some tests and here's what I get.

If I change the name of a vector file that is listed in the GIS Manager
layer tree, I get an error in the console that says 'file &.ppm not found'.
The display does not change. That is, if a vector was displaying initially
and you change it's name, it still shows as before. If you try to change
anything on its display, the changes don't show up--it simply continues to
display as before. If you try to display a new vector with an incorrect
name, it simply doesn't display. I can add a line to commonlayer.tcl that
will change the error to 'file [vector] not available'.

However, I'm concerned that what I'm seeing is not the problem you are
reporting. I get no crashes, no lockups. Correct files continue to display
fine. Only the misnamed vector file does not display.

Is this what you folks are getting or is it something else?

Michael
