[winGRASS] Grass 6.0 Ref. Manual/GUI(display mgr) cross reference?

The GRASS 6.0(etc) Ref. manual is online here
http://grass.baylor.edu/grass60/manuals/html60_user/full_index.html
and on our own computers at
C:\cygwin\usr\local\grass6.0.0\docs\html\index.html
and perhaps elsewhere.

This manual is built exclusively around the Bash command line mode of
operating GRASS. I have been unable to find any cross-reference between
the above manual and the command structure in the GUI(display
manager). Does such exist? If it doesn't, I would be one who feels that
such should exist if the GUI(display manager) is to be taken seriously as
option for operating the software in its own right.

A cursory trial-and-error session with the GUI makes it evident that the
command headings do not strictly follow the manual breakdown of
commands. E.g., under "Raster" will be found commands other than "r.xxxxx"
(e.g., d.xxxxx).

If such a cross reference does not exist, this would seem to mean that the
GUI(display manager) is only of real usefulness to those already proficient
in the Bash command line mode who'd like the option to operate the software
in a point-and-shoot method.

My hunch is that such a cross-reference (if non-existent) could be
constructed by referring to the source code for the GUI(display
manager). What is the easy way to get just the source code for the
GUI(display manager)? If someone will help me get my hands on this source
code, I'll make an attempt to make such a cross-reference between the
documentation and the GUI(display manager) command structure. I may not be
the best person to do so (I'm pretty sure of that), but I am willing to
give it a shot.

If I have to, I am pretty sure that I can get my hands on this source code
by myself, but it would be nice not to have to do it the hard way.
