[Live-demo] Is GIS Vm is compatible with Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy) ?

Hello Arun, welcome to the team.

And in answer to your last question, the GISVM should work on Ubuntu 
9.04 without any problems.
We only selected Xubuntu because it runs with less system requirements 
which is good for Virtual Machines and Live DVDs as they are generally 
RAM constrained.
