[mapguide-users] Is there a file size limit?

Are you using a bunch of small segments for lines or a long polyline
with multiple vertexes?  Can you generalize the data for when you are
zoomed out and then switch layers to one with more detail as you zoom
in?

Yes we turned all other layers off and even tried removing them
completely. 
This is a line layer and double line layer for rivers and polygon layer
for
lakes. So it is a mix of several layers. Yes there is labelling but we
turned it off to try to speed things up.  We just increased the cache
size
in the ini file and this seems to have helped with speed but it is still
very slow when we select a stream to get its properties.  I don't know
which
line style is being used, I will have to get back to you on that
question.
