[mapguide-users] Fusion on Firefox 3 and new MapGuide Release

Well maybe since Autodesk included support for Fusion (flexible
layouts) in MapGuide Studio 2009 they will make sure it's working at
some point. The problem with that is the lag between OS and
Enterprise. Enterprise never has any service packs which doesn't help.
I just can't wait for MapGuide Enterprise 2010 to be released for all
this to happen. With all due respect, MapServer is getting all the
attention on this project and that's fine but us MapGuide users have
to plan accordingly.

This was entirely decided by the MapGuide PSC in order to reduce the risk to existing MapGuide installations. This is part of retaining the trust of MapGuide users that rely on point releases being bug-fix only and not requiring new development... there are strong and valid reasons for this policy.

I would certainly encourage developers who are willing to take on the work of porting their custom templates to Fusion 1.1 to download it either from SVN, or to wait for the Fusion 1.1 release which should be forthcoming shortly.
