Nope. Item queries only support regex matches. I have no desire to write an
SQL parser so I've left that to other systems like the perl Xbase module and 
others. You can link these types of queries and mapping using mapscript.

is it possible to do a query of the type '[attribute] < 47' ?
I'm using itemquery for a string search in my app, but know
I need to search for that kind of stuff ...
