Armin,

I discovered the bug with binary TIFF files in GDAL.  It related to files
with widths not a multiple of eight, and the extra padding included between
scanlines.  Anyways, the good news is that the bug is fixed in the GDAL CVS
tree, and in general it should be possible to use GDAL with binary TIFFs
in MapServer.
