[Mapserver-users] [XML] Proposal for a MapScript XML Data Model Project and Discussion

Makes more sense from that perspective.  However, the mapfile format has 
the beginnings of one.  Creating such a schema isn't a trivial project, 
but should be enhanced from some of the use-case tools now available.
