mapserv binary size

Hi all,

I'm having issues getting MapServer 4.4.1 running on linux (Slackware 10.1).

First time I compiled and installed everything it worked perfectly. Feeling
smug, I then compiled and configured everything that was necessary for
FastCGI support. The result was a "Internal Server Error" whenever I
attempted to view the Itasca demo apps.

Ever since then, I've been unable to get the Itasca demo to work. Have
undone all the config changes made for FastCGI support in order to revert
back to my original [working] config, but still the same error.

For the moment I'd just like to know what the approximate sizes for the
mapserv ELF binary and the other utility binaries should be?

Reason I ask is the first time I compiled MapServer I'm sure mapserv was
about 300kb (from memory - I stupidly didn't keep it). Every compile since
then mapserv has been about 3000kb! Now with debugging output enabled it's
5000kb. All of these compiles have had every feature enabled except the
SDE, MyGIS, Oracle and MING bits.

TIA

Rhys
