mapserver error and mysql info

hi map users,

i have followed the instructions to install the mapserver and did succefully that.

if i type ./mapserv now, it throws an error like this....

./mapserv: error while loading shared libraries: libgd.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

how to solve this?

also I would like to convert the ArcIMS shape files into mysql. i know that one can shp2mysql.pl command
but what i would like to do is to create the maps / convert the maps created in ArcIMS suite and import that into mysql. how should i do that?
