You can avoid their browser check accessing:

http://www.wmsviewer.com/main.asp

I use Firefox 1.0.3 on Mandrake Linux and wmsviewer works pretty well.

You can try other wms clients. Just search for "javascript wms client" or 
"java wms client" in Google.
