UMN + SDE

Hi folks!

It seems as if mapserver hast serious problems with layers SDE where
column names contain a '_' .
It displays all other layers, but if a column name contains '_' I get
this message:

"msDrawMap(): Image handling error. Failed to draw layer named 'test'. 
msSDELayerInitItemInfo(): General error message. Item not found in SDE
table. "

Does anyone have experience with this problem and is there a workaround
(other than renaming all columns)?
