[mapserver-users] Skipping layers that fail to load

In the original post I should have clarified that I was reading through the
Mapfile Reference documentation.

Yes Stephen your suggestion is exactly along the lines of what I was
thinking and would like as an option. Something at the individual map or
layer level that gracefully handles broken database connections would be
great.

Barring any solutions being posted in the next day, I'll open a ticket with
this request.
