So here they are again, with their usual ‘spam.’

Looks good but they are ‘unto themselves’ from what I can tell.

My several attempts to contact Michael Berkowitz have been met with dead silence.

Building resilience is not only about improving physical infrastructure – our buildings, roads, and public spaces. It’s also about making our communities more cohesive.

Cohesive communities are ones where neighbors check on neighbors. They are connected and self-reliant, pulling together in emergencies. They are also more resourceful and equitable in good times, when there isn't a hazard.

As the Central and Eastern United States was gripped by a significant heat wave, President Barack Obama used social media to encourage neighbors to pull together.

Last week, Andy Revkin of The New York Times wrote about the importance of community resilience, and how 100 Resilient Cities, and now President Obama, are promoting its practice.
