[OpenLayers-Users] Question about WFS-T

I am trying to send a wfs-t request to Geoserver from a client (I want to
insert a value in a relation stored inside POSTGIS). I have found several
examples of what the request should look like, but I have not found an
example of how to package up the request. In other words, how can I do this?
Through AJAX and just hand code the schema in a javascript var? If so, can
it be sent through POST? Any help would be appreciated.
