[OpenLayers-Users] attach event to Controls in EditingToolbar

Hello All,

I'm trying to understand how to attach an function to the event fired  
when one of the Controls in the EditingToolbar is activated.  My  
objective is to only allow the user to draw a single point,line, or  
poly on the given layer - selecting the editing tool to draw a second  
feature will clear the first.

Could someone please provide me a little guidance?
