[OpenLayers-Users] ActiveXObject is not defined and FireBug on Linux

I'm aware of Firebug, I use it all the time, but not what yu'e talking
about.

It sounds like you have an option like "Stop on all exceptions" checked.
You shouldn't do that, because OpenLayers throws (and internally
catches) exceptions. I have seen this beahvior before when I have used
options in Venkman to debug, but I see no matching option in my version
of Firebug.

In any case, what you are describing does not sound like a problem in 
OpenLayers.
