[OpenLayers-Users] this.div.style error

I have a Web site built using GeoExt + OpenLayers, and I quite often get the following Javascript error:

It comes from the getZIndex function:

/**
     * Method: getZIndex
     * 
     * Returns: 
     * {Integer} the z-index of this layer
     */    
    getZIndex: function () {
        return this.div.style.zIndex;
    },

I t happens when I reload some layers from a WKT source.

Can anyone suggest how to avoid this error?
