[OpenLayers-Users] Print map to pdf

The approach I use is to collect the layers that are visible and the extent, and the then send a WMS call to a server to generate a new composite image which is then processed by a Python script on the server using ReportLab module to create a PDF.

Can you gif or jpg the image, then use someting like itextsharp (if you are
a .net guy) to pdf or something similar?
