Thanks Stephan.  FYI Dom Lowe (thanks Dom!) sent along
http://proj.badc.rl.ac.uk/cows/browser/cows/trunk/cows/model as
something we could leverage as well.

Looks like we have a fair bit of implementations we can leverage for a
unified lib.
