[postgis-devel] possible st_estimated_extent improvement: use root of R-tree

It could have been strk wanting to maintain backwards compatibility
with older versions. There was lots of churn in the gist index stuff
back then. Now that we have jetisonned the past, perhaps it would be
less of a problem :)
