[postgis-devel] "No Geographic Backend exists for postgresql"

I am trying to configure the fixmystreet server in my Debian 5.0 box. I am
following this documentation:

http://wiki.github.com/visiblegovernment/django-fixmystreet/installation

But, at one point, i am getting error:

*NotImplementedError: No Geographic Backend exists for postgresql
*
But, postgis is already installed in my machine. What kind of problem is
this? I cannot understand.
