 I concur.  Having a named directory sounds like it could be a nice thing
 to have, but with the trailing config ... I think it would cause more
 questions as it looks like a mistake.  My preference would be to do as
 Mark suggests - punt this back to the PostgreSQL folks.  We can use the
 current convention for now.
