We'll be gitting their soon enough.  Mark Cave-Ayland is all for git too.

I'm still trying to figure out what makes it special.  Just when I got used
to SVN, it's time to git going.

Does that mean we'll get to see all those new AsPNG, AsGDALRaster etc
functions in 2.0? Would be nice to see that make it in 2.0.
