 ok, found gdb for mingw and the problem is not related to the postgresql
 crash. Evidently, on linux passing a null pointer to printf prints
 "(null)" but crashes in mingw.

 So I ran postgres in single user mode and in gdb and I'm reminded that it
 runs fine and fails with a TRAP related to memory contexts which has
 nothing to do with the address standardizer but rather with the pg memory
 management and how the library is wrapped.
