Hi Andreas,
this was also my position, but Victor convinced me it would be a dead end.
I still think we should keep at least people in saga know of our efforts, and explore
all the possible ways to contribute upstream if possible.
I also wrote to saga ML, I'll take care of keeping the contacts as far as I can.
