[Qgis-community-team] Using QGIS API's

Hi All,
       Im having some tiff map files, that I want to load in my
application(Qt) using QGIS API's in linux(RedHat 5/6) . I have
started with Windows but feeling its little bit lengthy
process,since its little bit urgent so shifted to linux.
       Please help me regarding how to use/build the QGIS API/DLL in
linux(RedHat 5/6).
