Just a follow up - I see your university is in Cuba - I would love to visit
there some time myself, but bear in mind that most of the developers of
QGIS are Europe based so we normally try to choose a venue central to  the
majority to reduce costs. That said it would be really awesome if you
started a local interest group and held a hackfest - perhaps in parallel
with the european meet-ups!
