Hi,

this multiline vector

https://trac.osgeo.org/qgis/attachment/ticket/2493/evora_rios_shp.zip

causes qgis trunk to crash under ubuntu 9.10, when the plugin is used.
This is the terminal message:

--------

different thread

maybe it would be better to add a control to warn the user that the
plugin does not work with such geometries.

With the same vector but under win xp (qgis trunk/osgeo4w) instead of a
crash I get a python error:

http://img51.yfrog.com/i/dpsimplifypythonerror.png/

Using the plugin with a copy of the vector obtained using the "multipart
to singleparts" tool works just fine.

cheers
