[Qgis-developer] Merge by directory

Hi everyone,

Just now I noticed that the functionality to merge all shapefiles from a
directory is gone. I have directories with tons of shapefiles and I want to
simply merge them all together, if I have to select all of them sometimes
the explorer GUI gets unresponsive for a while due to the amount of data
and the same happens when I add them all to the merging tool.

Why did this option went away? Can't it get back as previously?
