[QGIS-Developer] Where do we sit with respect to release?

Hi Denis,

As to my understanding, 2.18 is not automatically replaced by 3.x

2.18 will remain LTR until 3.6 is released, because 3.4 will be the next 
LTR - right Jürgen?
