Thank you for your time Tim.

I understand and agree with you comments. It's understandable that not
everything can be read and fixed right here, right now (we, the
end-users, always want everything and we want it right now :-p).

Concerning this thread's specific issue (the GRASS terminal - if I may
call it so) my guess is that any developer would like this shell to make
full (and normal) use of the standard keys (left & right arrow, home &
end). Otherwise the terminal is not functional (e.g. when I type a
command and for some reason I want to "go back" or in the beginning of
the line to add something more or correct and the cursor does not
respond the "standard" way). So I just want to remind that it should
work like any other terminal.

In the Extreme Case Scenario that the developer's intentions are that
the GRASS terminal should work like that, then I would be satisfied with
a statement in the beginning like "this terminal resembles the GRASS
shell... in this way or the other way. The keys a, b, c don't work as
usual... ".

The reason(s) that I don't file immediately a ticket for anything that I
think it's not working well or I found a bug, is that maybe it's just a
"problem" on my installation (since I often mess up my system), or it's
not even a problem and I misunderstood something. Sometimes it goes
pretty fast with just an e-mail and sometimes not. But anyhow, I like
the atmosphere of the osgeo-mailing lists I follow and the fact that
things are moving fast and are getting better.

Regards, Nikos
