Hello friends list, I would like to know:

You can make a union of tables in qgis?

it is possible to "join" table in qgis?

How to insert field "hiperlink" in table in qgis?

Thank you.

Nicollo,

I get a segmentation fault. This occurs immediately the "Starting
Python" message is displayed on the Splash screen.

Also, there also appears to be a dependency problem with the grass plugin.

I get the following message when I try to upgrade the
"qgis-grass-plugin-common" package:

"qgis-plugin-grass-common:
Depends: qgis-plugin-grass but it is not going to be installed"

The "qgis-plugin-grass" package does not have a 1.5 candidate.

I hope that you can resolve this shortly as I am now without a working
QGIS :-( I could revert to 1.4 but I am really keen to review 1.5.

Thanks all!
Gary

version 1.6 r13999
In the check qgis version dialog under the help pulldown it says the
following.

The current released version of QGIS is 1.4.0 "Enceladus".
The development version (1.5.0 AKA Trunk) contains a number of bug fixes and
enhancements
Details on changes can be found by examining the Timeline in Trac at
http://trac.osgeo.org/qgis.

probably should be updated huh?

I have downloaded the new version of QGIS 1.5 Tehtys and I try the new
feature WMS-C reader of tile service, such as Tilecache.
However, I was not able to connected properly to GeoWebCache tile service
such as this one:
http://maps.opengeo.org/geowebcache/service/wms?request=GetCapabilities
1- Does this functionnality is mature enough to read GeoWebCache or any
other tileservice (Tilecache, etc.)? I have a message saying "Http request
failed, does not understand the server response"...
2- Does this functionnality is supposed to be mature enough to view/read
tile image as fast as OpenLayers? My tilecache in QGIS takes way more time
to view the same tileservice in OpenLayers.
3- Any docs available to understand how this feature works?

By the way, it is a very good feature! Congrats to QGIS dev team!

Cheers,

Nicolas

Works fine for me as WMS, but it doesn't advertise any tilesets.

Hi all

I just compiled r14004 on RedHat-Linux. Everything seems to go fine, but when I
now start the new qgis, it says

Warning: Couldn't load Python support library: Cannot load library
/lib/qgispython: (/lib/libqgispython.so: Kann die Shared-Object-Datei nicht
öffnen: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden)
(the german reads: Cannot open shared object file: File or directory not found)

I'm using a CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX which points to /usr/local/foo

In fact /lib/libqgispython.so doesn't exist, but with the prefix I'm expecting
the so-file in /usr/local/foo/lib. And that's where I found libqgispython.so
which links to libqgispython.so.1.6.0 in the same directory.

I did also a make clean, but the same result.
Has anybody a hint for me, what I'm missing? Do I have some misconfiguration in
my ccmake or what else could be wrong?

Regards
Cédric

Check all the old packages/libraries you have installed and
remove them manually:

dpk --list | grep qgis
dpkg --purge <package_name> <package_name> ...

Then re-do the apt-get install.

Do you have old QGIS libraries or headers around?

Hi Jürgen

in /usr/local/foo/lib are also libs from a former 1.5.0. On the same machine are
also two other installations of qgis (r13851) both also with prefixes. They work
properly. So yes, there is stuff from other/older installations. Is that what
you mean? Any idea how to identfiy the 'bad' libs or headers?
