[Qgis-user] DigitalGlobe WMS, ARC2Earth, where can I get good imagery?

Hi fellow QGIS users,
I'm aware people often ask about using google earth data in qgis and
while essentially that's what I need to do, I'm not prepared to do it
by breaking any TOS or EULA.
I've come across a couple of plugins for ARC that (if you have the
correct licences and setup) look like they give access to the imagery
from either google earth or directly from digitalglobe. I've been
using QGIS and as well as the expense of getting a license for ARC I'd
also have to go through the whole learning curve for another GIS. I'd
also probably have a better chance of getting approval for expenses
related to imagery collection only rather than tools + imagery.

My question is : does the digitalglobe imageconnect wms product
provide something where the imagery is at least as good as google
earths and/or is anyone aware of a licensing scheme that provides a
wms like service for imagery of that detail across the globe.

Thanks for any help people are able to offer.

Regards
Matt
