[Qgis-user] Append new data to existing Tables

Hi People,

I was wondering what is the best way to go about appending new entries/data
to existing tables on PostGIS. For example we have a layer for power poles
on PostGIS. When we capture new poles. What is the best way of adding these
to the existing Poles table?.

I tried selecting the new features and then copy an paste into the existing
table and it worked. Is this the best way of this this or should i insert
the data from the Postgres side?.

Any advise/tips is appreciated.
