[Qgis-user] Poor performance on Toshiba Laptop

Try swapping that out for the ubuntugis unstable repo, you might have a
really old version of gdal (and some other libs) coming from the regular
ubuntu repos. No promises but would be good to see if that has any change.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntugis/ubuntugis-unstable
