[Qgis-user] Making QGIS Project Directory Independent?

Does anyone know how I can remove the directory path from layers in a QGIS project and have QGIS find the files for a project in the same folder as the project file?

I would like to distribute projects to end users and not have them prompted for the file locations if the data files are in the same folder as the project file but that folder is not in the original location that is was when the project was created.
