[Qgis-user] Cannot open attribute table (Strange error)

Hi,

While trying to view the attribute table of a shape file (Layer > Open
Attribute Table) with a point geometry in a user defined CRS (Robinson), I
get an error message that seems highly inappropriate:

inverse transform of
(-917548636.473187, -594280432.272311)
PROJ.4: +proj=longlat +datum=WGS84 +no_defs +to +proj=robin +lon_0=0
+x_0=0 +y_0=0 +ellps=WGS84 +towgs84=0,0,0,0,0,0,0 +units=m +no_defs
Error: tolerance condition error

Clearly somethings wrong with the projection/CRS, but why would that give
problems in viewing the attribute table...?
