[Qgis-user] QGIS install fail on Ubuntu 12.04

I had QGIS working on 12.04 this morning. Unfortunately, I did not have the
option to "fetch python plugins." I played around with a few different
things trying to get it to work to no success. After some reading, it
appeared I needed the python-qgis package. I tried to install this package,
but missing dependencies prevented installation.

Instead, I completely purged qgis and attempted to reinstall through
terminal as outlined here:
http://hub.qgis.org/projects/quantum-gis/wiki/Download#26-Ubuntu.

At this time, I'm receiving the following errors.

*Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 qgis : Depends: qgis-providers (= 1.8.0-1~precise3) but
1.9.0+git20130316+5d42734~precise1 is to be installed
        Depends: qgis-common (= 1.8.0-1~precise3) but
1.9.0+git20130316+5d42734~precise1 is to be installed
Recommends: qgis-plugin-globe but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: qgis-plugin-grass but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: python-qgis but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.*

I was able to install QGIS (with python plugins) on a fresh 12.04 install
on my laptop last night with no problems. I'm not sure what's causing the
issue here.

Please advise.
