Hi Silver!

Beside the fact that your script is not related to QGIS ..
the script is to be copied within the shapefiles in the directory and to be
called from there.
The only thing you need to set is
shpclip = "/home/thomas/git/python_scripts/clipping_area.shp"
thats the path to your shape that you take for clipping ..

everything else should run out of the box ..
the created shapefiles will hae a suffix _clip with their name ..

Or i missunderstood you and you wanted to try to program it for the QGIS
Python Console ..
