[Qgis-user] Text Annotations not on the canvas but in a separate layer

Hello Users of qGIS,

I’m trying to make text balloons on the map, but I want to be able to switch them on and off, just like any layer. It looks like the text balloons I’m making all stick to the canvas itself. Any solution?
