$ grep SPATIALITE_VERSION_GE_4_0_0 $yourbuilddir/CMakeCache.txt
SPATIALITE_VERSION_GE_4_0_0:INTERNAL=1

BTW there's also git grep:

$ git grep -l SPATIALITE_VERSION_GE_4_0_0
...
ke/FindSPATIALITE.cmake
...
