[Qgis-user] displaying values on range slider widget

Hello List

I'm getting that loving feeling from creating custom feature forms for a tree survey in QGIS and I really like the various edit widgets available. Using the range widget I have the option to have an editable box, a slider and a dial to select my tree height.

Is it possible to display the values I have selected using the widget? So, slide the handle along until, say, "7" and have "7" display next to/above. At the moment I can use the slider but have to count as I go as there is no feedback.

If my field is an integer then I can have both a dial and slider and it is constrained to increment by 1. The widget displays as a slider or dial.

If my field is a real number then I only have a slider option but I can also set the step to anything I like. However, the widget does not display as a slider but rather as an editable field with stepper controls. Is this correct?

I am using the nightly development build of QGIS (2.3.0 / afce05)

Any pointers?

Many thanks

Ross
