[Qgis-user] How to zoom smooth or stepless?

You can try zooming to a specific regions with the zoom in (with a + sign).

The default zoom factor is 2, this can be changed in options->map
tools->panning and zooming.

This may be a bit different with qgis 1.8 - by the way you should try out
the 2.2 version!
