[Qgis-user] A problem to connect external ODBC host - any database Mysql, MSSQL, Sybase, Filemaker - it only works in localhost

Hi all

QGIS 2.x has GDAL driver inside and it's possible to connect ODBC source.

This is very useful to connect big external data with your local map.

ODBC driver in GDAL 1.10 or 1.11 works with localhost database and external IP host with any databases. I've tested with Mysql, MSSQL, Filemaker Pro.

QGIS 2.x works only with localhost ODBC source. If you enter an external IP host you have always connection error.

GDAL driver works but QGIS (2.x or 1.x) has an error only for external IP.
ODBC is useful for acquiring big external data.

Is it possible to fix this error inside QGIS 2.x ?
