[Qgis-user] SOAP/REST data from lers/openhab to spatial

I have a task of parsing SOAP and REST apis of lers and openhab servers for
presenting the data on qwce web map.
The idea is to put parsed data to some vector-filetype per-user files as I'm
supposed to have a separate layer per user.

The questions are:
1. How to parse soap and rest properly? I'm trying to use some perl modules for
this purpose.
2. How to put parsed data to qgis-supported vector data files properly? Do I
need gdal for this?
