Andrea it looks like the problem is an abandoned/unmaintainedGRASS plugin and people are using the processing toolbox GRASS instead...

The version of the dwg would also help as QGIS is picky on the dwg file version.   If I recall, you can import a dwg as a file or under the project menu.  I would use the project menu.  If you have access to AutoCAD, change the file to a DXF.  An other option is to do that with FME. If it?s for a none commercial use, they have a ? free ? version made for learning.
