Re: [OSGeo-Discuss] some post-FOSS4G thoughtsHi all,

Has anyone had problems with gvSIG (v1.1.2 for Windows) crashing when trying to apply a South African coordinate system? gvSIG on both my laptop and desktop computers crashes when I try to set the CRS to LO31, which is what we're using here in Durban. As a work around I throught I'd try define the CRS myself but haven't been able to figure out how to do it. I know that in QGIS it is possible to enter a definition in proj4 format but does anyone know if is it possible to do the same in gvSIG?

This is what I've used for LO31 in QGIS:
 +proj=tmerc +lat_0=0 +lon_0=31 +k=1.0 +x_0=0 +y_0=0 +ellps=WGS84 +units=m +no_defs

Frank.
